Mark of the Son is a historical novel that tells the tale of a Polish family of mixed religions torn apart by ambitions and war. On their quest to reunite, each is faced with impossible dilemmas of romance and loyalty, faith and suffering, escapism and reality.

Mark of the Son is based upon the many true stories of World War II survivors who were brave enough to tell their tales through oral and written accounts.

Marisa and her husband traveled to Germany in 2018 where they were immersed in World War II history. Marisa began researching and writing the story shortly thereafter.
